Corporate Commercial disputes are dealt under the Companies Act, 1956 (as amended till date) which is a very broad spectrum of law which envisages key provisions, Duties and liabilities of Directors/ independent Directors, Shareholders/stakeholders, Partners under Partnership Act and Limited Liability Partnership of some partners and their responsibilities and accountability in a Company or firm. These are usually resolved under the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) which is a quasi-judicial body in India that adjudicates issues relating the disputes relating to Indian Companies. Other authorities like the Serious Fraud investigation Office(SFIO), Constitution of Financial Reporting Authority (NFRI), Class Action Suits Authority, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) etc. also are the responsible corporate civil litigation and redressal forums for corporate legal affairs and dispute resolutions.
